Tottenham-born Adele (Adele Laurie Blue Adkins) MBE, was born in North London in 1988 and spent her first few years living both in London and on the coast at Brighton with her mum.
 
She wrote her first song at the very tender age of 16, back in 2004. The song title ‘Hometown Glory’ was influenced by her late childhood experiences.
 
Adele attended the Brit School for performing Arts as recently as 2006, and within months had recorded a song which found its way onto on-line audition websites, and to the attention of top producers and artist managements. Adele was quickly discovered and signed and has since enjoyed huge worldwide success, collecting awards and accolades both at home in the UK and in the USA too.
 
Adele’s first album named ‘19’ was released in 2008 and was an instant success. The album was responsible for her winning Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the USA Grammy Awards in 2009.
 
Adele recorded a follow-up studio album in 2011, which was called  ‘21’. The album was a gigantic instant success for Adele and has since sold more than 31 million copies globally and has earned Adele numerous awards and accolades both at home in the UK, in the USA and elsewhere around the world.
 
Adele was invited to write and perform the title song to the James Bond film ‘Skyfall’ in 2012. The song was another massive worldwide hit and earned her a Grammy Award, an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for best original song of that year!
 
Adele’s third studio album ‘25’ was recorded and released in 2015, notably, the best-selling album of the year it rocketed to success and smashed all first-week sales records both in the USA and UK.  The lead song on the album  “Hello” was the very first song ever to sell more than one million digital copies within its first seven days of release.
 
In both 2011 and 2012 Americas Billboard named Adele their ‘Artist of  The Year’.
